CONGRATULATIONS to Mike and Amy, a brilliant couple who planned a gorgeous, rustic day for their 130 wedding guests! Amy arrived at the local church in a horse-drawn carriage, looking absolutely stunning! The wedding reception was held in a marquee in Amy’s parents back garden, a very country-inspired style, including some very happy free-running chickens!
After the ceremony, Mike and Amy’s family and friends enjoyed the sunshine, sat on hay bales and drank Pear and Mint Cider and Elderflower and Lime Cider! The guests couldn’t get enough of the canapés of offer: Mini Yorkshire Puddings with Rare Roast Beef and Horseradish Cream, Parmesan Shortbreads with Basil Pesto and Somerset Brie, Filo Baskets with Smoked Salmon and Tangy Lemon Mousse, Chicken Liver Parfait on Crispy Chicken Skins and Somerset Cider-Battered Cod and Triple Cooked Chips (everyone’s favourite)!
The wedding breakfast menu included Roasted Fillet of Beef, Goose Fat Roast Potatoes, Roasted Garlic and Rosemary New Potatoes, Watercress and Blue Cheese Salad, Spinach and Beetroot Salad, Fresh Horseradish Cream and LOTS and LOTS of amazing gravy!
We had a lovely fat pig cooking on the spit from 10am and later in the evening, the hog roast went down a treat with all the couple’s young farmer friends! Brilliant day for everyone, catering team and guests alike!
