This fabulous evening was put together to celebrate Erica’s birthday, who chose the fantastic theme of Murder Mystery! Gathering together close friends and family, the night started off with Champagne and tasty canapés:
Quail’s Eggs Benedict in Rosemary Tartlets
Mini Yorkie Puddings with Rare Roast Beef and Horseradish Cream
Filo Baskets of Smoked Salmon Mousse, Lemon and Coriander
The guests had put in so much effort; everyone was dressed in 1920’s fancy dress! Everyone was given a character and the murder mystery was underway! A few over-acted sneezing episodes and obnoxious laughing fits later, from the kitchen we heard a terrifying blood-curdling scream!
“THERE’S BEEN A MURDER!”
It was time to eat! Guests sat down to a very tasty starter of “Twice Baked Somerset Goat’s Cheese Soufflé with Baby Salad Leaves, Pear Puree and Parmesan Shavings”.
Main course was a very robust and rich dish of “Roasted Rump of Lamb with Potato Dauphinoise, Seasonal Vegetables and a Lamb Jus”.
Erica had explained that she was a massive chocoholic which continued to be a permanent joke within the family. So naturally we had to create a dessert that would please any self-confessed chocolate expert. We came up with this:
“Triple Chocolate Fudge Brownie, Dark Chocolate Soil, White Chocolate Cheesecake, Dark Chocolate Mousse, Milk Chocolate Panna Cotta”
