Axel and Georgia’s Wedding – Sparkford Hall, Somerset – Saturday 3rd December 2016

Axel and Georgia’s big day could not have been more personalised! With Axel being a DJ and Georgia a film maker, the creativity and design of this wedding were amazing. After the first ceremony, guests were led to the big barn, stacked full of hay bales and pretty lighting. They were greeted by warming Mulled Wine and Apple Juice and tasty “Redcurrant and Rosemary Roasted Cocktail Sausages” and “Cheese Straws”. The 60 guests were there to learn a secret dance, to be performed in a few hours time when the evening guests arrived.

Dance lesson complete, everyone trudged their way back to the main house in their wellies and woolly hats. Time for the wedding breakfast, which Axel and Georgia decided would be a little different to the normal wedding choices. They opted for an Indian-style feast, which was very well received indeed! Who doesn’t like a good Indian meal?

After the main wedding breakfast, guests were free to roam the house with a cup of tea and a slice of cake. Axel and Georgia wanted their family and friends to be able to contribute to the big day so guests were invited to bake cakes and bring them along for tea time.

Next was the arrival of the evening guests and the second ceremony, which was orchestrated beautifully, complete with a Whitney Houston singalong and a confetti explosion! What can you expect from a film maker after all? Afterwards the boozing really began and guests moved downstairs to the secret cellar-come-club for more partying, only emerging for the evening buffet, with a lovely wedding “Cheesecake” as the centrepiece.
