Out in the sticks of the Dorset countryside, 100 guests joined Andy and Suzie to watch them get married on Friday 25th September 2015. They adorned The Victorian Barn with home made bunting, pretty flower pot centrepieces and tiny Kilner jars of chutney as wedding favours.
After the ceremony, guests mingled on the lawn, drinking lovely “Gin, Elderflower and Prosecco cocktails” and nibbled on a selection of fabulous hand-picked canapés:
Somerset Cider-Battered Fish Goujons and Triple Cooked Chips in Little Newspaper Cones
Goat’s Cheese and Beetroot Cheesecake Bites (v)
The couple wanted an interactive menu, a wedding breakfast that everyone could get involved in and enjoy! We went for some lovely picnic hampers, consisting of: Jars of Crunchy Pickled Onions and Beetroot, Somerset Cheddar and Cider Bread Rolls, Rustic Herby Coleslaw, Jars of Caramelised Red Onion Chutney and generous chunks of Confit Chicken, Mushroom and Leek Terrine.
Traditional Roast Pork was on the menu for the main course! Andy and Suzie had allocated a designated carver to each table, so each carver got an apron presented to them as a surprise! Everyone LOVED the main course; Roasted Loin of Pork stuffed with Apricot and Sage Stuffing, Roasted Goose-Fat Potatoes, Somerset Cheddar Cauliflower Cheese, Buttered Seasonal Vegetables and Home-Made Apple and Cider Sauce.
Dessert was a trio of yummy desserts; Raspberry Cheesecake, Lemon Posset and Triple Chocolate Fudge Brownie! Clean plates all round!
